Serving at the Brazos Church Pantry is about a two hour commitment per week, or two hours per month if you choose to serve on a Saturday. You can volunteer on a one time basis, or be part of our community of regular volunteers who serve either weekly or monthly. If you volunteer during Brazos Church Pantry hours, jobs generally include bagging food, interviewing clients, carrying out groceries in carts to client vehicles, assisting with flattening cardboard for recycling, stocking food and other related tasks. We also have volunteers who help with the receipt of the delivery of food each week from the Brazos Valley Food Bank. This entails using dollies to move food from the delivery pallets to where it is stacked for Brazos Church Pantry usage.

To volunteer, please call ahead to make sure we have enough work for you: Our hours are:

Mondays and Wednesdays-12:45pm (for 1:00 pm opening time)
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays-9:15 am (for 9:30am opening time)
Saturdays-9:45 am (for 10 am opening time)

Parking is available in back of the building. Please do not park in front of the Brazos Church Pantry, as this reduces the number of client parking spots. You can wear comfortable clothing-jeans, shorts, or other casual clothing.

There is a liability release form which is required for all volunteers. Please click on the following and complete and bring the completed form the first time you volunteer.

We appreciate your heart to serve. We depend completely upon volunteers to do all tasks required at the Brazos Church Pantry, since there are no employees. It could not function without you and others!
